Isabel Marant will open first showroom in Manhattan

A French fashion designer known for her bohemian aesthetic, Isabel Marant, will open her first Manhattan showroom in a space resembling a retail store in the Chelsea Arts Building at 210 Eleventh Ave. he 4,070-square-foot showroom on the 25th Street side of the building has large windows and polished concrete floors.

Citizens of Humanity names new creative director

Karen Phelps is to step up as creative director at Citizens of Humanity, and will oversee the design direction for the company’s portfolio of brands.

Phelps recently served as creative director for premium denim labels Agolde and Goldsign, and has now taken on the additional responsibility for Citizens of Humanity, Fabric Brand & Co and Getting Back to Square One.
